King George V

The King George V is a village pub which specialises in real ales, Kentish cider, malt whiskies, rums and a big selection of Belgian bottled beers.

There is a beautiful four-poster room overlooking the village green and a family room with a double and a single bed. The pub is just a five minute walk from the entrance to Chatham Historic Dockyard which boasts scores of attractions including Dickens World, the ropery, the RNLI national museum and a variety of old warships.

The paddle-steamer Kingswear Castle operates river trips from its base at the dockyard. Nearby are Rochester Castle and Cathedral while Leeds Castle, Maidstone and Canterbury are not far by car or train.

The King George V is perfect if you are on business or visiting the area for pleasure. On-street parking is not a problem while both Chatham and Gillingham railway stations are a few minutes away by taxi.

Our restaurant is open from 1200 until 1400 every lunchtime except Sunday when a roast is served between 1300 and 1600.

Evening meals are served between 1830 and 2030 every night except Sunday and Monday. A full English breakfast is served every day but for those who have to leave early a pre-packed snack can be provided.

The pub is family-run so attention is paid to detail. You can be assured of a memorable stay! The four-poster room costs £60 per night, a double is £55, the family room is £75 and a single room just £35. We look forward to hearing from you.

Changes and cancellations to bookings made up to 7 Days before the arrival date/time are without charge. Thereafter the deposit may be charged. The total value of the booking may be charged if changes/cancellations are made with less than 24 Hours notice.
