Booking Policies
We accept instant confirmation online bookings.
We do not accept bookings from official tourism information centers. We accept payment with the following cards:       
Standard Check-In Time: 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Standard Check-Out Time: 11:00 AM
Please contact us if you would like to check-in earlier / check-out later. All accommodation is offered subject to availability at time of receipt of deposit. The cancellation policy for individual room bookings is 7 days and for group bookings (2 or more rooms) is 14 days. If cancelled later or in case of a non arrival, the first night will be charged in full.
Non – Availability: We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation were unavailable for reasons beyond your control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Other Policies- Arrival-Checkout Times
Guests are welcomed after 2.00pm on the day of arrival and are requested to vacate their rooms by 11.00am on the day of departure. These times can sometimes be flexible, and if an earlier or later check in/out is required, we will make every effort to accommodate. Charges may apply.
Rooms are guaranteed from 3pm. Late check outs will be charged at full day rate, if not pre booked.
- Smoking
Please Note: From 1st July 2007, we are required by law to go "smoke free" and guests will no longer be able to smoke. As accommodation providers we could be fined up to £2500 if we fail to enforce these laws. Regrettably, anyone who has been found to be smoking indoors will be liable to a cleaning charge of up to £100, payable against the credit card held to cover the booking. You are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions by reserving a room
- Payments
Payment can be made using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro or Delta cards, cheques accompanied by a cheque guarantee card, or cash. Where deposits are paid by cheque, we will also need valid card details, to secure the booking against last minute cancellations. Any booking made will be guaranteed against the credit card given and amounts payable will be taken in regard to cancellations.
We normally offer a minimum two night stay over the weekends, and are not able to offer single night stays on Friday or Saturday evenings unless previous bookings allow.The price includes accommodation plus Full English breakfast. Unless clearly stated on the booking form all extras such as additional meals, telephone use, drinks etc are charged extra. VAT is included in the price. Service charge is at your discretion.
- Breakages/Damages
We reserve the right to charge for breakages and/or damages to The Old White Lion Hotel, against the card held for payment. Persons making the booking will be held responsible for any damages.Please take good care with accommodation and facilities provided. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages caused. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party and any vehicles or possessions, unless it can be proven to be caused by a negligent act, by ourselves, our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
- Parking- We have safe parking on a first come basis and can not guarantee. Parking is at owners risk, (car and contents).
- Disabled Guests- We are committed to doing all we can to accommodate less able visitors and those with special requirements. If you have any special needs we will be very happy to discuss these with you. Please see our access statement on the main site.
- Any data gathered during the course of this booking may be held on computer.
Wireless Internet is available in public areas and bedrooms.
