Carlton Hotel

The Carlton Hotel was originally a Victorian merchant's house and was converted into a hotel in the 1950s. Twice extended the hotel now has 29 en-suite rooms ranging from family rooms through to single occupancy rooms in varying styles. Ten minutes walk from the city centre situated in a mostly residential area.

Hotel facilities inlclude bar, comfortable lounges and meeting rooms. The hotel has free on site car parking. We have a BT Open Zone Hotspot in our lounge for access to wireless broadband.

The bedrooms are all en-suite with television including satellite channels Sky 1, Sky Sports 1.

All accommodation is equipped with a hospitality tray, hairdryer and direct dial telephone.

As an older building rooms vary in style and size from the high ceiling victorian rooms in the older part of the building which have mostly been converted to family rooms to the more modern small double rooms in the newer parts of the building.

We have several ground floor bedrooms including one room adapted for guests with disabilities that has direct wheelchair access from the rear car park.

We do not accept bookings from official tourism information centers.

We accept payment with the following cards:

Standard Check-In Time: 2:00 PM to 11:30 PM
Standard Check-Out Time: 11:00 AM
Please contact us if you would like to check-in earlier / check-out later.

Changes and cancellations to bookings made up to 24 Hours before the arrival date/time are without charge. Thereafter the deposit may be charged. The total value of the booking may be charged if changes/cancellations are made with less than 24 Hours notice.
