Florian Guest House

A warm welcome awaits you at The Florian Guest House from proprietors Sue and Dave Pitman. Rated 4 star Guest Accommodation by Visit Britain, Florian is non-smoking and is situated just 10-15 minutes walk from Weymouth town centre and beach.

Florian is a traditional Victorian house, built around 1885, with 4 floors. Please contact us before booking if mobility is an issue. There is car parking at the front and a south facing garden at the rear. Patio doors lead from the dining room to the garden where Guests are welcome to sit and relax. Florian is non-smoking throughout but guests may smoke in the garden.

Children accepted from 2-13yrs. We do not have facilities to accept children under 2 yrs. Please advise ages of children at time of booking.

During busy times we have a minimum of 2/3 nights which can be booked on-line but you may phone to see if a single night is possible.

We are well placed for business travellers as we can be reached, without going through the town centre. There is free wireless internet access in all rooms. We are close to the Rodwell Trail which is great for walkers going to Portland or to Abbotsbury and we can offer luggage transfer to your next stop.

Early breakfasts are available for guests travelling on the Cross Channel Ferry, working, or going on fishing/diving trips. There is storage for bikes, windsurfing boards, diving equipment etc. with an outside tap available for the rinsing of sports equipment plus drying facilities for wet clothes. With our own Charter Fishing Boat ‘Atlanta’ we can arrange a fishing trip during your stay or even fishing holidays, either for individuals or clubs.

All bedrooms & bathrooms have been recently refurbished offering comfortable rooms and modern en-suites. Each room has TV with freeview and DVD, Hospitality tray, mini fridge & hairdryer. Heating is provied by radiators with thermostats allowing guests to regulate the temprature. Towels and toiletries are provided.

Celebrating a special birthday or anniversary? You can add flowers, chocolates, cake or balloons to be in your room on arrival during the booking proccess.

Standard Check-Out Time: 10:00 AM
Please contact us if you would like to check-in earlier / check-out later.

Changes and cancellations to bookings made up to 56 Days before the arrival date/time are without charge. Thereafter the deposit may be charged. The total value of the booking may be charged if changes/cancellations are made with less than 72 Hours notice.

Other Policies

• Booking;- A deposit, equal to one night’s accommodation, is required to secure the booking. Payment can be made by card over the phone, using on-line booking, or by cheque. (cheques made payable to 'Florian Guest House'). Confirmation of booking will be sent, by post or e-mail, after deposit received. Our terms and conditions are deemed to have been accepted when deposit has been paid. . Please ensure your card is valid until after your scheduled departure. Balance is to be paid on day of arrival. Payment can be made by cash or card. All major cards accepted. Sorry, cheques not accepted for payment of balance.
• HEN & STAG parties or similar NOT ACCEPTED. Guests who cause nuisance, damage to property or disruption to others may be asked to leave immediately. No refund payable. Any damages may be charged for. Only Guests registered may stay. Any unauthorised persons, in any Guest Room, will be asked to leave along with the registered guest regardless of the time. For the comfort of other guests and by law, Florian is non smoking. Guests may smoke in the garden. Guests who smoke in their room may be asked to leave, without refund, and there may be an extra charges if special cleaning is required.
• CHECK IN is between 4pm and 8.30pm. Arrivals outside of this time, by arrangement only. No arrivals after 10.30pm. unless agreed to at time of booking. We ask for an estimated arrival time to ensure we are here to meet you. Please keep us informed if your arrival should be delayed. Balance of account to be paid on day of arrival. CHECK OUT is by 10am on day of departure. Children aged 2-13yrs are very welcome at Florian, but we respectfully ask, that children remain seated during breakfast to avoid accidents occurring. Please be considerate to other guests by not using mobile phones during breakfast.
